A downloadable game

This is the prototype to my bachelor's thesis, that researches how game mechanics can allow players to perceive an interdependence among one another, within a digital coop game.

It is still in development and open to critique and suggestions for improvement.

Notes
The game is intended for exactly 2 players to play together.
After finishing the room with multiple targets that need to be hit to clear it, the prototype ends - beware that the end is not yet finished and is not clearly indicated yet,

Instructions
To play it, you will need to have Steam, as it is used for the Multiplayer Networking Services. It needs to be open, when starting the game. You can invite friends from your friendlist, however they have to start the prototype as well, before the invitation / accepting it.

Once the friend has joined, he will need to set ready, for the Host to be able to start the game.

Shortly after the game has started, the Host will be assigned his primary ability and the color blue, while his ally will receive his respective primary ability and the color red.

After reaching the halfway-mark of the prototype (upon entering the room with the red and blue separation- / force-fields) both players will unlock their respective secondary ability.

Controls
Movement: [WASD] and [Space] to jump
Camera control: [Mouse]
Primary Ability (Shrink or Enlarge objects): [Left Mouse Button]
Secondary Ability (Open Wormhole entry or exit point): Right Mouse Button]
Carry and Drop Objects: [E]

Install instructions

Once the game has been downloaded, you can unzip it.

You will find a folder called "Windows", open it.

Inside this folder is the "ProjectDuality" executable which needs to be run / started to play this prototype.

Note: Steam needs to be open when you run this prototype, because it uses the Steam Multiplayer Services for networking the players.
